Technical advantages of our zinc components

01

Alloys with certified traceability

Each casting batch includes a chemical composition certificate according to IRAM standard. Engineers receive hardness and yield strength data before shipment.

02

Dimensional tolerances ISO 2768-f

Cast parts maintain ±0.05 mm on critical axes. This eliminates secondary grinding in suspension and transmission assemblies.

03

Continuous production with optimized cycle

Our die-casting machines operate with cycle times of 37 seconds per part. Monthly capacity of 120,000 units with no quality deviations.

04

Corrosion resistance in aggressive environments

The ZK-12 alloy withstands 720 hours of salt spray without pitting. Ideal for components exposed to moisture and de-icing salts in the automotive sector.

05

Direct technical support from materials engineers

An industrial metallurgy team responds to inquiries about alloy selection, mold design, and injection parameters within 24 business hours.

Frequently asked questions about zinc components

01

What zinc alloys do you use for die casting?

We work with Zamak 3, Zamak 5 and ZA-8, in addition to our own ZK-12 alloy for high corrosion environments. Each alloy has technical specifications for hardness, creep and tensile strength that we share with engineers before quoting.

02

What is the monthly production capacity?

Our plant in Rafaela has an installed capacity of 120 tons per month of zinc castings, distributed across 8 die casting machines from 80 to 600 tons of clamping force. For high-demand series we can scale up to 150 tons with additional shifts.

03

What dimensional tolerances can you guarantee?

We apply ISO 2768-f as standard, achieving tolerances of ±0.05 mm on critical axes for parts up to 300 mm. For more demanding requirements we offer post-machining with coordinate measuring machine control and go/no-go gauges.

04

Do you perform corrosion tests on the components?

Yes, we have a salt spray chamber for accelerated tests according to ASTM B117 standard. The ZK-12 alloy exceeds 720 hours without significant pitting. We also perform cyclic immersion tests for automotive sector clients requiring corrosion resistance certification.

05

How to request a quote for a new project?

You can send the drawing or sketch of the part to info@zinkandsons.com with material specifications, tolerances and estimated volume. Our engineering team responds within 48 business hours with a technical and economic proposal. You can also call (89)4170-0114 for quick inquiries.
